Government Employees and Mandatory Vaccination

In a Radio-Canada interview, our partner Geneviève Beaudin discussed about the federal government's mandatory vaccination policy applicable to its employees.

Some federal employees have been lobbying to avoid the mandatory vaccination against COVID-19. This group compiles the necessary documentation on various platforms to support such a fightback.

However, our labour and employment law partner believes there is little chance for the policy to be ignored without consequence to the employee. "I don't see a way around it other than to ask for accommodations such as a medical or religious reason," she says. Whether the validity or application of the policy will be challenged remains to be seen.
