Adoption of Bill 96: Be Ready
Now that Bill 96, An Act respecting French, the official and common language of Québec, has been formally adopted and received Royal Assent on June 1, 2022, it is important to understand the impact this new law will have on companies doing business in Québec.
This law brings significant changes not only to the Charter of the French Language (also known as Bill 101), but also to more than twenty other laws affecting many facets of society, including education, commerce, immigration, real estate and labour relations, to name a few.
