BCF Partners with the Clinique Juridique de Saint-Michel to Promote Access to Legal Studies for Young People from Diverse Communities

Montréal, December 5th, 2022 — BCF and the Clinique Juridique de Saint-Michel (“CJSM”) have teamed up to grant two $2,500 scholarships to two diversity students as part of CJSM’s Access to the Profession project.

This partnership is designed to fulfill an important need for greater accessibility to the legal profession in the province of Québec. “We are proud to support the Clinique Juridique de Saint-Michel’s mission and promote access to the legal profession for young people from diverse backgrounds in the province of Québec. It is crucial that we all do our part to ensure more diversity in the legal community,” said Dominique Babin, partner and co-chair of BCF’s social responsibility committee.

CJSM’s Access to the Profession project aims to promote and ease access to law studies for students from historically marginalized communities. The BCF scholarships are intended to provide selected students with financial support to attend the first year of a Bachelor of Laws program in a Québec civil law faculty.
