Shaun E. Finn Appointed to the Superior Court of Québec

Montréal, February 8, 2023 – BCF is proud to announce that its partner Shaun E. Finn has been appointed by the Minister of Justice of Canada to the position of Judge of the Superior Court of Québec, for the Judicial District of Montréal on February 6, 2023.

Our partner André Ryan, Ad. E., and Shaun E. Finn were the creators of the class action defence team, which has enabled BCF to position itself as a major player in this sought-after area.

Throughout his distinguished career, Shaun has left his mark on the legal profession with his many court-cited writings on class actions, civil procedure and legal history.

His extensive knowledge and experience have also led him to teach class actions, real estate and commercial litigation at McGill University's Faculty of Law as a lecturer.

Shaun's illustrious career has included many high-profile recognitions, including a membership in the International Association of Defense Counsel in 2022 and a Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America in 2021.
