13 NHL Teams Move to Salary Arbitration Mode
Many National Hockey League teams have trusted BCF for several years with their salary arbitration cases, and the 2020-21 season will be no exception.
Although, exceptionally this year, the hearings will be held virtually and the official date of the first face-off is still unknown, 13 NHL teams will involve salary arbitration this season. BCF is proud to work closely with more than half of them and to assist its clients in the management of 14 of the 26 applications filed by players.
Therefore, between October 20 and November 8, 2020, a team of lawyers composed of André Lepage, André Ryan, Julien Tricart, Alexandre McGraw, Éric Amyot, Frédéric Dorion, Steven Brassard, Maxime Savard, Émile Côté Soucy and Charles Joly, a combination of veterans and rookies, will advise the teams, analyze the files, prepare briefs for the arbitration sessions and virtually appear before NHL appointed arbitrators to set the salaries of certain players for the upcoming season.
