What to Do About Unvaccinated Employees?

In an article published in the Conseil du patronat du Québec’s GuideTélétravail, our partner Geneviève Beaudin offers some suggestions to help executives and managers deal with the issue of employee vaccination.

“The issue is not to force an employee to get vaccinated, but rather to know what an employer can do about unvaccinated employees. Employers should assess the risks specific to their business and the positions involved. Physical distance, frequency and duration of physical contact with other employees or with clients, among other things, should be taken into account. There are many different measures that can be taken by management, but whether or not they are reasonable will depend on the company’s situation,” explains Geneviève Beaudin, a Labour and Employment Lawyer and Partner at BCF.
