Annie-Claude Trudeau is a partner, co-head of the Montreal Litigation Group and a member of the Class Action Defence and Privacy and Protection of Personal Information strategic groups.. Backed by more than 10 years of experience, she focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation, class actions, shareholder disputes, governance and crisis management. With her in-depth legal knowledge, her reliability and her creativity, she is an invaluable asset not only for defending our clients before the courts but also for assisting them in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
Since she became a lawyer, Annie-Claude has always been very involved in the legal community and promotes access to justice and legal literacy. Early in her career, Annie-Claude helped out at the Juripop legal clinic, which advocates for access to justice and was also a featured reporter on the MaTV program AVOSCAS. During the 2013-2014 season, she was also responsible for the debate radio show Droit de Cité, a co-production of the Barreau du Québec and CIBL 101,5 FM.
From 2016 to 2019, Annie-Claude has been a director of the Young Bar of Montreal where she was in charge of the Information Technology Committee (CTI), which was responsible for the organization of the annual LEGAL.IT conference, and in charge of the Public Affairs Committee.
Annie-Claude is Vice President of the board of directors of Vanguard School, a private special education institution for students with learning disabilities. Furthermore, she is one of the "Gouverneurs de la relève" of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec and she is a representative of BCF as “Emerging Leader” with the international association “Meritas”.
In 2023, she was named "Rising Star" by Lexpert, which recognizes top lawyers under 40 who have made an outstanding contribution to the practice.

- Acted on behalf of a landlord before the Québec Court of Appeal regarding a commercial lease dispute related to the guarantee of use of leased premises (art. 1854 C.C.Q.);
- Acted on behalf of a company in the digital media industry regarding the application of a contract for digital advertising services, website creation and consulting, as well as obtaining a declaration of abuse and reimbursement of extrajudicial fees;
- Acted on behalf of entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical industry in a commercial dispute arising from a failed business acquisition. The opposing party withdrew from the project;
- Acted on behalf of a pharmaceutical company's former senior executive in a class action (statutory and civil actions) brought against him by shareholders and institutional investors. This was the most significant securities class action to ever be authorized in Québec;
- Acted on behalf of a self-regulatory organization seeking to obtain a declaratory judgment under the Real Estate Brokerage Act;
- Acted on behalf of a public corporation in a class action brought against it for delays and cancellations allegedly caused by inadequate maintenance of its infrastructure;
- Acted on behalf of one of the largest construction industry unions in Québec in a civil lawsuit for reputational damage;
- Acted on behalf of a publicly traded Indian pharmaceutical company in a civil and arbitration action relating to a supply contract;
- Acted on behalf of the mayor of a Québec municipality challenging allegations of ethical misconduct made against him by the Commission municipale du Québec;
- Acted on behalf of a U.S. technology company in a commercial dispute arising from the acquisition of a Québec company and relating to the interpretation and application of an earn-out clause;
- Acted on behalf of a Canadian railway company in a liability dispute for physical injury arising from an accident between an individual and one of the company's trains;
- Acted as counsel for a prominent company in the entertainment industry regarding an injunction issued by a major media group seeking to enforce a right of first refusal in an acquisition transaction;
- Acted as counsel in a long-lasting commercial dispute between shareholders of a large, franchised restauration group;
- Acted on behalf of a payment services company operating in the cryptocurrency industry regarding an injunction brought by a Canadian financial services company.
