Julie Doré first joined the firm as a student in 1997 and is now a partner. Julie is known by her peers and clients for her leadership, her daring, and her determination. She is quick to understand her clients’ personalities and identify their objectives, a talent that encourages them to put their trust in her and results in a strong attorney-client relationship.

Over her career, Julie has acted for a great number of companies in more than a hundred equity financing deals, both private and public, and has advised numerous clients in connection with the merger or acquisition of their businesses. Julie brings all her passion to the table, advising her business clients as if the company were her own. She always tells it like it is, and wants the best for her clients.

In recent years, Julie has built on her commercial and business law experience, adding real estate law to her portfolio of expertise. She acts for real estate developers and lenders in the context of business partnerships formed with a view to acquiring properties and developing residential or commercial real estate projects.

Julie is a skilled negotiator, and she excels in leading the multidisciplinary legal teams she assembles to close the deals entrusted to her by her clients. To Julie, teamwork is the cornerstone of success.

Julie is also in charge of recruiting students for BCF. For many years she has been doing a remarkable job, attracting top talent to lay the groundwork for BCF’s future. She plays an active role in the firm’s advancement, and believes that human talent is the key to assuring its longevity. Julie is also involved in the training and evaluation of the firm’s lawyers, and was instrumental in establishing the partner-track program for the associates.

  • Commercial agreements pursuant to which Distech Controls Inc. issued shares of its capital stock to Canadian and foreign investors while certain shareholders assigned a portion of their interest
