Ocean Group, a Québec City-based company that specializes in marine services, has acquired the largest dry dock in Canada by purchasing the Verreault shipyard in Les Méchins. Ocean Group will now be able to repair ships up to 800 feet long.

Thanks to this transaction, Ocean Group will be able to consider large-scale projects and become an important player in the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSN). Moreover, the company will be able to provide service to a wider range of large vessels belonging to the Canadian Coast Guard. According to Jacques Tanguay, President and CEO of Ocean Group, this fleet will grow in the future.
