Professional background

Nicolas St-Sauveur practices in the Business, Commercial and Corporate Law group. A member of the Business Transfers and Natural Resources strategic teams, he is regularly involved in business purchase or sale transactions in which he uses his knowledge of environmental law. He also specializes in traditional and subordinated financings, for both private and institutional lenders.

In addition to completing his bachelor's degree in law and being named to the Honour Roll of his faculty of law, Mr. St-Sauveur completed a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. The combination gives him an edge in cases involving scientific content, in the environmental and biotechnology fields in particular, an expertise greatly appreciated by his clients working in the medical field.

Involvement

In the firm, Mr. St-Sauveur is actively involved in organizing recruitment activities for future BCF articling students.

Mr. St-Sauveur is involved in his community as a member of juries in university courses and contests involving the preparation of business plans for business start-ups.

Representative work

  • Participation in the purchase of an industrial cleaning service and septic tank emptying company and the purchase of a landfill with construction and demolition debris.

  • Member of the team representing Gestion Bertrand et Frères inc. during the sale of the company to Colabor Entities – This transaction won the 2008-Mid-Market Award awarded by Canadian Dealmakers.
