Professional background

Nathalie Gagnon has a keen ear for her clients’ needs, allowing her to identify a transaction’s main challenges. She brings an extraordinary amount of energy to every one of her files.

Over the past 12 years, Ms. Gagnon has represented various businesses and their executives in connection with the negotiation and conclusion of purchases and sales of SMBs. She has also assisted businesses and financial institutions in connection with corporate financing and strategic investments, developing particular expertise in leveraged buy-outs. Her proactive approach allows each of Ms. Gagnon’s clients to feel that they are her top priority, regardless of the nature of the transaction, the size of the business or its industrial sector.

Ms. Gagnon has a special interest in transactions set up to ensure the successful transition of ownership of a business, whether through employee incentives or management buy-outs. Working with her clients, she measures the financial, strategic and emotional impacts of their decisions. The co-leader of BCF’s business transfers team, she plays an active role in the debate surrounding succession planning in Quebec by giving talks on the subject and through her involvement in several initiatives related to the subject.

Over the years, Ms. Gagnon has taken a deeper interest in business practices and, accordingly, in shareholders’ agreements, which can prevent disputes. She therefore works with entrepreneurs and investors in negotiating and drafting such agreements.
