Jules Turcotte is a partner in the commercial and taxation group at our Quebec City office. Prior to joining BCF in June 2003, Mr. Turcotte was a member and partner of two leading legal firms in Quebec City.
Mr. Turcotte has more that 30 years of experience in taxation and business law, notably in estate and tax planning, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and tax litigation.
Mr. Turcotte regularly represents small, medium and large family businesses and their shareholders, directors and officers, as well as certain private and public organizations. He has also developed an expertise in life insurance companies, their products and segregated funds.
He is a member of BCF's Executive Committee.
Mr. Turcotte was a professor of taxation law at the École du Barreau du Québec and lecturer in taxation law at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval.
Since Fall 2001, he has been a member of the tax legislation and administration committee of the Barreau du Québec. He also takes part in the activities of the Canadian Bar Association’s Quebec Section. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Association de planification fiscale et financière du Québec for a number of years.
