Profile
Julie Dorion is a partner in our litigation team. Thorough and versatile, she handles major civil, commercial, administrative and constitutional litigation. She represents a diverse clientele before Québec's common law courts and arbitration tribunals. She also sits on BCF's Board of Directors, lending her experience and commitment to the organization and its strategic development.
Julie has acted in several construction disputes involving complex technical issues, as well as shareholder disputes involving injunctions, seizures and other urgent and extraordinary remedies. Together with several members of our team, she successfully led and argued the first case dealing with the Hydrocarbons Act. Julie acts on behalf of various players in this sector before the Québec Superior Court and the Court of Appeal in cases involving major constitutional issues.
She also focuses her practice on insolvency. For example, she has represented RCGT for the past 10 years as provisional administrator of warranty plans for new homes, regarding recovery related to warranties and recourses under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act or any similar legislation.
In 2022, Julie's profile was presented by the Jeune Chambre de Commerce as an “Inspiring Woman” as part of its project to promote women, in collaboration with Desjardins, to present women who stand out for their “extraordinary achievements, involvement or inspiration.”
