Renaud-Bray acquires DeSerres, Lamarche Importation, and Cadres Verbec
Renaud-Bray, one of Quebec's largest bookstore chains, strengthens its position in the retail market with this strategic acquisition.
BCF Business Law represented Renaud-Bray in acquiring DeSerres, a renowned Quebec company specializing in art supplies. This deal, announced on October 1, 2024, includes 28 DeSerres stores across Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia, as well as the Cadres Verbec and Lamarche Importation subsidiaries.
Renaud-Bray Inc. is a well-established Quebec-based company known for its bookstores offering a wide range of French-language books and cultural, musical and educational products. This acquisition expands Renaud-Bray's portfolio and reinforces its leadership in promoting literature and the arts.
Omer DeSerre is a Quebec-based company selling art supplies, craft materials, and creative products. Founded in 1908, it has gradually established itself as a leader in its field, with stores across Quebec and elsewhere in Canada.
