Let’s Get the Leaders Talking: André Ryan Discusses his Career Path

Every week, Dominique Tardif of ZSA interviews leaders from various areas of law, in her column “Let’s get the leaders talking” published on Droit-inc.’s website. On May 29, 2019, our partner and head of the litigation group André Ryan agreed to play along by answering questions about his professional background and giving some wise advice to future lawyers:

“There is obviously no pre-established formula or magic recipe. That being said, and considering that law is the meeting of all human sciences, I believe that one of the keys to success is to take an interest in the humans behind every situation. In addition to being interested in people, we must also be interested in everything else around us. Virtually all subjects have a legal ramification and, when you are interested in various subjects, you identify opportunities. Finally, and this is nothing new: roll up your sleeves, and work hard!”
