Yves Séguin Joins BCF as a Strategic Advisor

MONTRÉAL, July 9, 2018 - BCF is proud to announce that Yves Séguin, former Québec Minister of Finance, Revenue and Labour, is joining its team as senior counsel and strategic advisor.

With over 40 years of experience in business, government and institutions, Mr. Séguin is recognized for the extent of his business network and his in-depth understanding of regulatory issues, the machinery of government, and fiscal policy. A well known negotiator, he has participated in many major transactions. As a seasoned administrator, he has served on the boards of public and private companies. He was also recently appointed to the board of directors for the COGIR Group, an important real estate company in Québec.

While pursuing his other activities, he will work with BCF as a strategic advisor in business development and will also support clients and the firm’s team in developing growth strategies.

Mr. Séguin, who was Finance Minister for the government of Québec (2003-2005) and Minister of Revenue and Labour (1987-1992), was also notably president of the commission on fiscal imbalance (2001-2002) and has occupied director positions with the Bank of Montreal and Vivendi Group in France. A lawyer since 1976, he has also practised in important business law firms over the course of his career. Since 2008, he has been the president of SNCO Finance, a financial advising and business services firm that works with financial institutions and private financial groups.
