La Capitale, a Quebec-based mutual company offering insurance and financial services products, recently sold a mortgage loan portfolio of 6 376 mortgages, representing more than C$900 million to the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec.
The closing of transaction occurred on January 21, 2020.
Together with their in-house legal department, BCF represented La Capitale in this transaction, with a team led by Guy Plante and including Audrey St-Pierre, Guillaume Giguère, Vanessa Gendron of the Québec City office and Martin Sills and Richard Epstein of the Montréal office.
