Four new shareholders take over Groupe RCM
Following a takeover process initiated in 2021 in which Gilbert Trudeau, owner and general manager of Groupe RCM, sought an organized transition, two in-house managers have become shareholders in the company. With Desjardins Capital and Fondaction's support, the group's financial controller and technical director will ensure the company's continuity and a smooth transition.
Based in Saint-Benoît-Labre, Beauce, the company specializes in modular buildings for a number of real estate sectors and has 200 employees. Managers who have climbed the ladder over the past twenty years envision a model in which other employees could become shareholders, keeping the company in the province of Québec and under employee ownership.
BCF is proud to have assisted the releasers and played a part in this transaction, with a team consisting of Audrey St-Pierre, Laurence Lavertu, Alex Harvey, Marc-Antoine Couture, Valérie Allard, Yanick Gagnon-Carbonneau, Chantal Mongrain and Chantal Laboissonnière.
