As part of its growth strategy, Meloche Group welcomed Novacap as a majority shareholder and acquired Groupe Rossi Aéro in France. These two landmark transactions are an important milestone in the development of the Quebec company, which specializes in the manufacture of aerospace components. Notably, acquiring Groupe Rossi Aéro enables the company to strengthen its presence in Europe.
This expansion is taking place while preserving Meloche Group’s roots in Quebec. “We take quite some pride in being able to say that the principal shareholders are from here,” Hugue Meloche, president and CEO of the component manufacturer, told La Presse. “That was one of our core principles.”
The acquisition of Groupe Rossi Aéro helps Meloche Group expand its industrial footprint in Europe and offer an integrated range of metal component manufacturing services, from machining to assembly. The group now has facilities located near the major aerospace hubs in Montréal and Toulouse. The transaction also strengthens Meloche Group’s ability to serve major customers globally, thereby contributing to its strategy of building a world-class aerospace platform.
BCF advised Meloche Group on these two strategic transactions by mobilizing professionals from various areas of law to support the different aspects of these deals.
