Julien Tricart is a partner in BCF’s Litigation Group. He represents clients before courts and arbitration tribunals, as well as in private dispute prevention and resolution proceedings. His practice is distinguished by his recognized expertise in handling complex cases with a strong technical component, particularly in construction law and professional liability, as well as in civil and commercial litigation.

A central focus of his practice is representing stakeholders in the construction industry in disputes involving their liability. He represents and advises a diverse client base including engineering consulting firms, laboratories, general contractors, suppliers, and project owners in matters involving construction defects, professional liability, the enforcement of security interests, and insurance issues.

Beyond the construction sector, Julien handles a wide range of matters on behalf of companies across various industries, financial institutions, and private firms. He manages liability claims, contractual disputes, injunctions, and sensitive matters involving reputational risk.

These matters regularly involve specialized experts and require a deep understanding of the unique realities of each industry. Through these high-stakes mandates, Julien has developed proven expertise in synthesizing complex technical issues to identify decisive legal arguments and strategies aligned with his clients’ business objectives.

For several years, Julien has been part of the BCF team retained by more than half of the National Hockey League (NHL) teams in salary arbitration matters. He also has a keen interest in sports law and contributes to the work of the Sports Law group at Meritas, the global network of leading independent law firms of which BCF is a member.
