Profile
Julien is a partner in our Litigation Group who focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation, construction law and professional liability. He also provides assistance to our clients in matters of insurance law, defamation and shareholder disputes.
He has successfully assisted our clients in a number of complex cases before the courts and in arbitration, as well as in alternative dispute resolution.
Julien has been a member of our team of lawyers involved in salary arbitration for several years, representing more than half of the National Hockey League (NHL) teams. Given his keen interest in sports law, Julien is also a member of the Sports Law Group of our partner Meritas, a global network of leading independent law firms.
Julien is involved in the firm's various initiatives and sits on its Information Technology Priorities Committee.

- Acted on behalf of a consulting engineering firm in a major case (over $400 million in claims and hundreds of plaintiffs) involving various and complex issues in construction law, professional liability, product liability and insurance law;
- Acted on behalf of consulting engineering firms, laboratories and architectural firms in various professional liability actions;
- Acted on behalf of material suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, owners and professionals in claims in the construction industry (public and private);
- Acted on behalf of various manufacturers in claims for alleged product quality defects;
- Acted on behalf of financial institutions in liability and collection matters and in the exercise of security interests;
- Acted on behalf of companies in injunction matters and in the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation clauses;
- Acted on behalf of federal and provincial corporations as well as majority and minority shareholders in oppression proceedings;
- Acted on behalf of more than half of the National Hockey League (NHL) teams in the salary arbitration cases;
- Acted on behalf of clients in defending defamation claims.
