Energere Acquired by a Subsidiary of GDI Integrated Facility Services

Energere Inc., a company specialized in energy efficiency solutions, smart buildings and smart cities, was recently acquired by Ainsworth Inc., a GDI Integrated Facility Services Inc. subsidiary. As a result of this acquisition, Ainsworth has launched Ainsworth Energy and Technology Solutions, a new business unit.

Energere is a Québec leader with 25 years of experience in energy services. The company's expertise aims to provide cutting-edge solutions to increase the energy efficiency of the buildings it serves. In the course of its 600 or so projects in Québec, Energere has provided municipalities, businesses, institutions and industries with energy efficiency consulting services and ready-to-use design-engineering projects. It has also supported more than 200 cities and municipalities in implementing street lighting through its Smart Cities division. In addition, Energere is also very active in many large-scale real estate projects through its subsidiary OME, which offers many intelligent building solutions

For GDI, this acquisition is an opportunity to strengthen Ainsworth's leadership and, more importantly, to diversify and expand its energy engineering service offering. The new Ainsworth Energy and Technology Solutions business unit will provide clients with an inventive solution that will allow them to integrate multiple building systems while optimizing their energy performance.
