An Acquisition Focused on the Future

La Pyramide de Sainte-Foy, an iconic building in Quebec City’s urban landscape, is entering a new era. The property, well known for its distinctive architecture at the heart of the university district, has been acquired by a new group of owners whose key business partners include Contraste Immobilier and Pella Immobilier.

This acquisition marks an important milestone for the economic and commercial vitality of the Sainte-Foy area, strengthening La Pyramide’s position as a major hub for businesses and consumers in the region.

BCF’s Expertise Serving the Seller

Acting as legal counsel for the seller, 9519-3298 Québec inc., and its president Mr. Sylvain Gilbert, who also serves as president of GCS Développement Immobilier inc., the BCF team—composed of François Valin, Alex Harvey, and Geneviève McLean—played a central role in the successful completion of this complex transaction.

 BCF’s mandate included:

  • negotiating and finalizing the customary agreements for the sale of a commercial property
  • ensuring the legal and financial coordination of a series of interrelated operations involving multiple parties
  • structuring and managing emphyteutic leases that were essential to completing the transaction

Through rigorous coordination and a collaborative approach, BCF supported its client at every stage of the process, ensuring the realization of a major transaction for the Quebec City region.

Preserving a Symbol of Quebec’s Real Estate Heritage

This sale not only secures the longevity of La Pyramide de Sainte-Foy but also ensures its continued role as a driving force in the urban and commercial development of the capital. Under its new ownership, the building will benefit from significant investments to modernize its facilities and enhance its appeal to tenants, businesses, and visitors alike.
