150 Million in Investments for Fonds QScale S.E.C.

Fonds QScale S.E.C., an IT company that specializes in cloud-based data processing, has been granted a $150 million investment by the Government of Québec and Desjardins Capital.

Among other things, this investment will allow Fonds QScale S.E.C. to build a High-Performance Computing Centre in Lévis, which will be implemented in eight phases over a seven-year period. There, QScale will carry out high-performance calculations using supercomputers that require a great deal of power while processing a large amount of data. Heat generated by the computers and servers will be compensated and used by greenhouses which will be located nearby. 2,800 tons of berries and over 80,000 tons of tomatoes will be harvested annually.
