Contex Group Acquires Les Affaires

Recently, TC Transcontinental announced the sale of its print products division to Groupe Contex, a company founded by Pierre Marcoux, TC Media’s former president.

Therefore, Transcontinental is selling to Contex Group: Les Affaires, Les Affaires Plus, Les Événements Les Affaires, Acquizition.biz, Benefits Canada, Avantages, Canadian Investment Review and Canadian Institutional Investment Network.

“I am very pleased to have entered into this agreement with TC Transcontinental and to start my own business in a field that I am passionate about,” said Pierre Marcoux, Groupe Contex President. “This is an important moment for me and my team. In recent years, we have been able to grow through the development of dynamic event activities. In the future, we will focus even more on this sector while leveraging the strength of our media products.”

Nathalie Gagnon and Geneviève Martin, of BCF’s Mergers and Acquisitions team, represented Pierre Marcoux’s interests in this transaction.
