Navacord Corp. Bolsters its Positioning with the Acquisition of SecuriGlobe Inc.
SecuriGlobe Inc., a leading travel-insurance broker in Canada, was front and centre in a major transaction recently. The Montréal-based company was acquired by Jones DesLauriers, an insurance-management firm that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Navacord Corp.
SecuriGlobe Travel Insurance, founded in 1999, provides Canada’s “snowbird” population with customized travel and health insurance. It also specializes in products designed for visitors from Canada as well as medical emergencies.
Thanks to this acquisition, which has doubled the size of its portfolio and expanded its presence in Québec, Navacord Corp. is bolstering its positioning within the travel-insurance market.
BCF is proud to have provided assistance to the Canassurance team, led by Marc-Olivier Sioui, Director of Legal Affairs, and also comprised of Noémie Murphy, Legal Counsel, Compliance, in the sale of all of the shares of SecuriGlobe.
