New Work Permit for Québec Skilled Workers Now Open for Applications
The International Mobility Program Plus (IMP+) is a new work permit option for Québec-selected permanent residence candidates. Canada Welcomes First Federal Charter Flight for Ukrainians in Winnipeg
On May 23, the first federal charter flight carrying 328 Ukrainians arrived in Winnipeg. Two more federal charter flights are scheduled to arrive from Poland with people approved through the CUAET program on May 29, in Montréal, Québec and June 2, in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Facilitated Labour Market Impact Assessment Process for Québec Employers
As of May 24, 2022, under the facilitated process, as with the rest of the Program, the wage being offered for the position will determine if you need to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment under the Stream for High-wage Positions or the Stream for Low-wage Positions. The obligations of the employer will therefore vary between professions that are included now under the facilitated process. This is particularly important since NOC C level professions were included in the list of occupations eligible for the facilitated process as per the agreement between the governments of Canada and Québec.
