BCF Teams Up with Canadian Association of Black Lawyers to Promote Diversity in Québec Law Faculties
Montréal, March 25, 2022 — BCF and the Québec chapter of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) are joining forces to offer $9,000 in scholarships to Black students enrolled in Québec law faculties.
This three-year partnership with CABL is part of the firm’s commitment to promote diversity and inclusion within the Québec legal community. “With the support of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, we want to promote access to the legal profession for Black students and contribute to increase their presence in the community,” says Pierre T. Allard, Managing Partner and Chairman of BCF. “We are pleased to partner with CABL and proud to support the careers of future Black lawyers in Québec.”
Two scholarships of $1,500 each will be offered to two Black students enrolled in a Québec law school every year for three years. These scholarships will be granted to students who have excelled academically and throughout their involvement in the community. The scholarship recipients for this year will be announced in May 2022.
