Energetic and dedicated, Lucas Sylvestre joined BCF as a law student in the summer of 2021 and completed his articling term in the Montréal’s office business law team. He practices primarily in the area of corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Lucas developed his interest in the business world through various work experiences with major companies in various sectors.

Lucas completed his bachelor's degree in civil law at the Université de Montréal and participated in a student exchange in China. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various committees, such as the Law & Sports Committee, where he was able to pass on to his peers his passion for sports and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

  • Acted on behalf of Sandibe Global B.V., a Dutch company specialized in the leisure industry, and more specifically in global-scale tourist attractions, in the context of the sale of all of the shares of Les Holdings La Grande Roue de Montréal Inc., which owns and operates the Montreal ferris wheel, an iconic site in the Old Port of Montreal;
  • Acted on behalf of CIRION BioPharma Research Inc. and its shareholders in connection with its acquisition by Cerba HealthCare (September 2023);
  • Acted on behalf of the shareholders of Les Espaces Memoria Inc. and its subsidiaries, a leading funeral services company in the greater metropolitan area, regarding the sale of their shares to Athos Commemorative Services Inc. the largest private network of funeral complexes in Québec (2023);
  • Acted on behalf of Sunshine Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ: “SBFM”), a pharmaceutical company focused on the research, development and commercialization of oncology and antiviral drugs, in its acquisition of Nora Pharma Inc., a Canadian pharmaceutical company offering generic and specialty drugs and one of North America’s fastest growing generic pharmaceutical companies (October 2022);
  • Acted on behalf of Groupe Soucy and JLD-Lague, led by Champlain, in its acquisition of Location Sauvageau and Location Légaré (June 2022);
  • Acted on behalf of a public waste management company (GFL Environnement) in its acquisition of three Québec companies (June 2022);
  • Acted on behalf of Resonetics LLC, as Canadian counsel, in its acquisition of AGILE MV, a Montreal-based medical device development company (June 2022);
  • Acquisition of Le Groupe Restos Plaisirs inc. by the Sportscene group (June 2022).
