Tristan Asselin is a lawyer in our litigation group at the Québec City office, where he focuses his practice on municipal and administrative law. He acts on behalf of both private-sector entities—including real estate developers and construction contractors—and public bodies such as municipalities and government-owned corporations.

His practice brings him before the courts and administrative tribunals of Québec in cases involving land use planning and urban development, zoning, the environment, eminent domain, municipal taxation, and the enforcement and challenge of municipal by-laws. He also assists his clients on matters related to public bidding processes, lobbying, and access to information.

With a master’s degree in criminal and penal law practice, Tristan began his career at a renowned firm in Québec City that specializes in this field. This experience sets him apart when handling business criminal law cases, especially those involving regulatory violations.

Pragmatic and attuned to his clients’ needs, Tristan’s approach is grounded in a thorough understanding of the specific issues at stake in each case. He takes into account the legal, operational, and economic realities his clients face to offer solutions tailored to their context and goals.
