Joseph Piazza is a key member of our real estate law team in the Montréal office. He advises clients on a broad range of real estate matters and is valued for his practical, client‑driven approach and keen attention to detail. He regularly acts for major real estate investment trusts and private investors in transactions involving the acquisition, development and management of a wide variety of property types.

Joseph has a strong commercial leasing practice, representing both landlords and tenants in the negotiation and drafting of leases across all asset classes, including industrial, office, retail and mixed‑use projects. His leasing work spans new developments and major portfolio assets, where his attention to detail and strategic insight consistently add value for clients.

Joseph began his legal career at a Montréal boutique firm recognized for its practice in civil and commercial litigation, where he developed strong analytical skills that continue to guide his transactional practice. Prior to law school, Joseph studied urban planning at Concordia University, a background that gives him a strong understanding of the planning, regulatory and commercial dynamics that shape real estate projects.
