BCF recognized in the 2026 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000
We are pleased to announce that our firm, along with several of our professionals, has been recognized in the 2026 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals (WTR 1000), a leading global reference guide dedicated exclusively to trademark law.
The WTR 1000 aims to identify firms and professionals who stand out for the quality of their practice, both from a legal and a strategic perspective. Its rankings are based on an in-depth and independent qualitative research process, taking into account, among other factors, the nature and complexity of mandates handled, demonstrated expertise, and feedback gathered from peers and clients in the market (see the full rankings here).
Being listed in this ranking is a meaningful indicator of credibility in the field and reflects the continuity of the distinctions the firm has received in the area of trademark law.
Individual recognitions
In the 2026 edition, the guide highlights the expertise of three members of our team, whose practices cover several key dimensions of intellectual property.
- Johanne Auger, Partner and Trademark Agent, receives two Silver distinctions in the Anti-Counterfeiting and Prosecution and Strategy categories.
- Frédéric Dionne, Partner and Trademark Agent, is awarded a Bronze distinction in the Prosecution and Strategy category.
- Pascal Lauzon, Senior Lawyer and Trademark Agent, receives a Silver distinction in Anti-Counterfeiting as well as a Bronze distinction in Enforcement and Litigation.

Recognition of the firm’s practice
Beyond individual distinctions, the WTR 1000 also recognizes the firm’s practice as a whole. A Bronze ranking is awarded in the Enforcement and Litigation and Prosecution and Strategy categories, highlighting the strength and complementarity of our teams.
This recognition reflects our integrated approach to trademark matters, combining strategic advice, risk management, and representation in contentious proceedings when required.
Expertise aligned with today’s business challenges
In an environment where trademarks play a central role in organizational strategy and where the risks associated with their use continue to evolve, our team favours a structured approach grounded in anticipation, clear guidance, and a nuanced understanding of the business realities specific to each sector.
The distinctions awarded by the WTR 1000 confirm the strength of this approach and our ability to act with rigor and sound judgment at every stage of a trademark’s life cycle, in Canada and internationally, from both a strategic and legal standpoint.
