BCF Recognized Among Montréal’s Top Employers for 2026
BCF Business Law has been recognized among Montréal’s Top Employers for 2026, an honour that highlights organizations in the Greater Montréal area that stand out for the quality of their workplace environment and their exemplary talent management practices.
Organized by the publishers of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, this annual ranking highlights companies that provide exceptional workplaces and distinguish themselves in their industries through their ability to support the development, well-being and engagement of their teams. This year, BCF stands out within Montréal’s legal industry as the only large law firm to have received this recognition.
“Being recognized among Montréal’s Top Employers is a great source of pride for us. This distinction reflects the culture we build every day at BCF: an environment where collaboration, entrepreneurial spirit and talent development are at the heart of what we do. We believe that the fulfillment of our professionals is essential to supporting our clients and contributing to the vitality of the business community,” said Julie Doré, Managing Partner at BCF.
Recognition Based on Rigorous Criteria
The Montréal’s Top Employers ranking evaluates organizations according to eight key criteria that reflect the essential dimensions of a high-performing and sustainable workplace.
These include:
- the quality of the workplace and professional environment;
- the work atmosphere and organizational culture;
- financial and social benefits;
- vacation and leave policies;
- internal communications;
- performance management;
- training and professional development; and
- community involvement.
Each selected organization undergoes a detailed review by the project’s editors, who also publish the reasons behind the selection of each employer.
A Work Environment Designed to Support Excellence
At BCF, the quality of the workplace is built on a simple belief: An organization’s performance is directly linked to the fulfillment of its people.
For this reason, the firm puts in place conditions that support both professional development and the overall well-being of its teams. This includes:
- stimulating and strategic mandates with entrepreneurs and growing businesses; offering professionals the opportunity to further develop their expertise and business judgment
- a collaborative environment where ideas and initiative are encouraged; promoting continuous learning and innovation
- training and development programs that support career progression; including structured initiatives such as mentoring and coaching that foster leadership development
- concrete initiatives that promote well-being and team engagement, supported by a modern approach to employee benefits and holistic health initiatives, including access to virtual healthcare, enhanced parental leave, initiatives aimed at supporting the advancement and retention of women, as well as activities that promote an active lifestyle
- active involvement in the business community and in various social initiatives, reflecting the firm’s commitment to social responsibility, diversity, and ESG practices, including initiatives such as our Women’s Business Succession, the Black Professionals Network, as well as our sustained involvement in various charitable causes
In a field as demanding as the practice of law, the ability to offer an engaging work environment is a strategic lever for attracting and retaining talent.
This positioning also strengthens BCF’s attractiveness among legal professionals and talented individuals who wish to grow in a demanding, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
An Entrepreneurial Culture driven by our teams
Since its founding, BCF has cultivated a deeply entrepreneurial mindset. This culture is reflected both in the way the firm supports its clients and in how it develops its teams.
Our professionals work in an environment where autonomy, business judgment and interdisciplinary collaboration play central roles. This dynamic not only supports the firm’s growth but also helps create a stimulating and sustainable workplace.
The recognition by Montréal’s Top Employers 2026 is first and foremost the result of the daily contributions of BCF’s teams. It reflects the strength of the firm’s organizational culture and the importance placed on creating an inclusive and stimulating work environment, thereby enhancing BCF’s profile within Québec’s business community.
