Premier Health of America acquires Canadian Health Care Agency
Premier Health of America Inc., a Canadian health tech company, has recently completed the acquisition of 100% of the outstanding shares of Umana Holdings Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary Canadian Health Care Agency (“CHCA”), through a newly created, wholly owned, federally incorporated subsidiary, for a total consideration comprised between C$10.5M and C$14.5M.
As a result of the transaction, CHCA becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Health as it will continue the business of CHCA which consists in providing specialized nursing services. The acquisition of CHCA also enables Premier Health to expand its operations outside of the province of Québec and consolidates its market position in Canada’s northern regions. In addition, Cambridge-based CHCA provides Premier Health with a good management infrastructure in Ontario that will serve as a base to continue the company expansion in this province.
Premier Health of America Inc. is a leading company providing a comprehensive range of outsourced services solutions for healthcare needs to governments, corporations, and individuals. Canadian Health Care Agency, which was founded in 2001 in response to severe staffing shortages in Canada’s northern regions, is the primary provider to Indigenous Services Canada for nursing services to remote and semi-remote Indigenous communities in Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba.
BCF is proud to have acted on behalf of Premier Health of America in this transaction with a team consisting of Gilles Seguin and Vincent Garibaldi.
