Varitron Acquired by East West Manufacturing

Varitron, a provider of integrated electronics manufacturing services, was recently acquired by U.S.-based East West Manufacturing, a global design, manufacturing and distribution services company.

Founded in 1991, Varitron has approximately 300 employees and operates plants in St- Hubert, Granby, Mirabel and Bromont. Owned at 28% by Investissement Québec, Varitron offers a variety of electronic manufacturing services and specializes in sectors such as defense, aeronautics, transportation, security, telecommunications, automated systems and medical equipment.

Headquartered in Atlanta and founded in 2001, East West Manufacturing does business in the U.S. market as well as in Europe. This transaction will add well-established nearshore operation in Canada and advances the company’s strategic focus on growing its North American electronics manufacturing capabilities.
