BCF expands into the European market with new Paris branch: BCF Global

BCF Business Law continues to expand with the opening of a new office in Paris (France), designed to extend its international reach and ensure greater proximity to its European and international clients. As an extension of the Canadian firm BCF, the new entity will operate under the name BCF Global.

Primarily focused on Intellectual Property (IP) law, BCF Global offers a unique team of lawyers and patent agents qualified to represent clients directly in the United States, Canada and Europe. BCF Global brings together essential IP resources to grow visionary and innovative businesses in all areas of technology including: information technology and life sciences.

In cooperation with BCF’s Canadian offices located in Montreal and Quebec City, the new Paris branch will be led by Philippe Therias, a member of the Paris Bar and a European Patent and Trademark Attorney, who joined BCF's intellectual property group in 2017.

"With the launch of BCF Global in Paris, we can now offer all the key resources our international clients are looking for: North American expertise, a competitive exchange rate and bilingual services delivered both in French and English,” explains Mario Charpentier, Managing Partner of BCF Business Law. “Philippe's extensive professional experience as an engineer with legal training will allow him to successfully undertake his new responsibilities as CEO of BCF Global. Our multidisciplinary team and integrated approach position BCF Global as the ideal partner for any business with patent and intellectual property needs."

"BCF Global is the culmination of a year's work to design the best IP service possible: a global vision with a local expertise. Above all, the offer is based on the desire of professionals on both sides of the Atlantic to work together, for the benefit of our clients," said Philippe Therias, CEO of BCF Global.

From coast to coast, BCF Global will propel your most ambitious plans forward.
