Romain Macquart is a French Industrial Property Counsel and European Patent Attorney with nearly ten years of experience in the field of industrial property.

Before joining BCF Global, Romain practiced at a leading French intellectual property law firm, following a previous role as a patent engineer in the aerospace industry. He has advised a wide range of clients — from start-ups and SMEs to mid-sized companies and large international groups — primarily in the transportation sector (automotive, rail, aerospace, and space), as well as in industrial technologies and manufactured goods.

Romain supports his clients in developing intellectual property strategies tailored to their specific business challenges. His expertise spans all aspects of patent-related procedures: patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, drafting and prosecution in France, Europe, and internationally — particularly in North America — as well as opposition and litigation proceedings.
As part of his practice, Romain also makes it a point to raise awareness and provide training on intellectual property issues to his clients and stakeholders.
