Laurence Darveau is a lawyer and MBA graduate whose practice focuses on technology and artificial intelligence within BCF’s Technology and Artificial Intelligence group. She advises businesses on strategic initiatives related to commercial agreements, artificial intelligence, privacy and data protection, as well as procurement.

Throughout her career, Laurence has served as in-house legal counsel to an investment fund, providing guidance on commercial law, fintech, privacy and data protection, procurement, and information technology. She has overseen the deployment of multiple digital platforms, including contract review and process optimization solutions, an AI agent, and AI-enabled digital procurement and supply chain platforms. In addition, she has developed post-acquisition integration plans to support the internal adoption of these platforms.

Her mandates include the negotiation, drafting, and review of major technology agreements with leading counterparties. She has implemented SaaS, procurement, commercial, and data protection agreement templates, designed policies governing the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and delivered numerous training sessions on these topics.
