Jakob Isaac Rancourt is a lawyer in BCF's Business Law and Corporate Finance team in Montréal and he focuses his practice on corporate mergers and acquisitions. He joined BCF in 2021.

A law graduate from the Université de Sherbrooke, Jakob Isaac also holds an MBA. During his studies, he received Dean’s Honours in 2021 and 2023. Jakob also won the Lord Reading Law Association prize in 2023. This background has sharpened his strategic thinking skills and deepened his understanding of informed decision-making in the business landscape, while significantly broadening his global business perspective. He is particularly passionate about helping companies through their various growth stages and helping them find innovative ways to create value for all stakeholders.

Before becoming a lawyer, Jakob Isaac was a venture capital analyst at BCF Ventures where he helped the fund assess high-growth investment opportunities and advised numerous technology startups seeking funding. His experience as an investor brings a unique added value, as he has first-hand insight into the market’s needs and expectations.
