Frédéric Henry is a partner in our Labour and Employment Group in Montréal. For the past 15 years, Frédéric has advised and represented employers under provincial and federal jurisdiction in employment and labour law matters. He has acquired extensive experience both in private practice and in the legal department of a major conglomerate operating in the telecommunications, media and information technology sectors.

Labour and employment law
- Successfully represented companies in a variety of sectors before various authorities in connection with complaints or grievances challenging dismissals, retaliatory measures or alleging harassment or discrimination;
- Advised companies of various sectors in connection with the negotiation of contracts with key personnel (senior executives, broadcasting personnel or rare talent);
- Successfully represented private seniors' residences regarding their subjection to the decrees governing maintenance personnel in public buildings. The judgment was upheld by the Court of Appeal;
- Successfully represented a contractor in the marine transportation sector regarding the applicability of Bill R-20 to maintenance work performed by a contractor;
- Advised one of the largest companies in the telecommunications and media sector with respect to the application of the Charter of the French Language and the implementation of Bill 96;
- Represented companies of various sectors in commercial transactions.
Collective bargaining
- Represented companies of various sectors as spokesperson or advisor during negotiations to renew their collective agreements;
- Represented and advised a manufacturing company in the agri-food sector in the negotiation of a first collective agreement;
- Represented as spokesperson a professional union of the health sector in the negotiation of part of their terms and conditions of practice.
Occupational health and safety
- Represented or advised companies of various sectors in successfully challenging decisions by the authorities regarding workplace inspection and prevention;
- Represented a company under federal jurisdiction to successfully challenge the constitutional applicability of Chapters X (inspection) and XI (project management) of the Act respecting occupational health and safety.
