We advise clients from every economic sector on their duties and obligations under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, the Privacy Act, an Act respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector, the General Data Protection Regulation as well as under the various provincial access to information acts.
BCF’s team of litigators, crisis managers and commercial lawyers designs strategies to reduce the likelihood of a data breach. In the unfortunate event that a breach occurs, our Privacy and Data Protection team works closely with our Crisis and Reputation Management team to help clients fulfil all their reporting obligations and mitigate any damage to their reputation.
