Marianne Richer-Laflèche

A partner at BCF's Montréal office, Marianne Richer-Laflèche advises a diverse clientele in mergers and acquisitions, competition and foreign investment law, private equity and corporate governance. Before joining BCF in 2021, she practised at another leading national firm, where she was seconded twice to institutional clients in the financial services and engineering consulting sectors.

On the transactional side, Marianne acts across the full spectrum of M&A, from strategic add-on acquisitions in a private equity context to large-scale transactions. She has developed strong expertise in streamlining high-volume transaction processes as well as in drafting complex partnership' agreements and incentive plans. She also practises in competition and foreign investment law, with a focus on the review and control of transactions subject to notification requirements before the Competition Bureau of Canada and a wide range of other legal needs. Known for her pragmatic and approachable style, Marianne stands out for her ability to simplify complex mandates and deliver efficient, results-driven counsel.

A graduate of Université Laval and the London School of Economics and Political Science, Marianne currently serves on the boards of two companies listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) and on the board of the École des entrepreneurs du Québec, where she also chairs the governance committee. She has also served as a director and corporate secretary of several other organizations, including the Fondation du Collège Jésus-Marie de Sillery, Événements Prima Danse and Théâtre Lirychorégra 20.
