Squeeze Studios Partners with Cinesite

Squeeze Studios, an animation and motion capture studio based in Québec city and Montréal, recently entered into a partnership with Cinesite, a London, UK-based animation and visual effects studio, which acquires a majority stake in the studio.

Ranked on the 2020 Report on Business list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, Squeeze Studios was founded in 2011 and is supported by a creative team of 200 artists and technical experts. Benefiting from a strong international reputation, the studio collaborates with the world's elite in the entertainment industry including Disney, Marvel, Universal, Illumination, Supercell, Warner and Ubisoft.

The partnership will allow Cinesite to expand its animation content and service offerings for international markets while adding motion capture capabilities into the group to better serve the video game and film industry. Squeeze Studios' world-renowned animation portfolio, scale and motion capture capabilities will be significant additions for Cinesite, further strengthening the group’s position in Montréal as a key player in the field of family entertainment.

Established in 1991, Cinesite is one of the world's most respected independent digital entertainment studios, producing award-winning animation and visual effects for film, broadcast and streaming media platforms.
