Merger between La Capitale and SSQ Insurance results in the creation of Beneva, the largest mutual in Canada

On December 3, a new mutual insurance company was created. The union of these two Quebec gems, under the name Beneva, will allow them to offer, in a single location, a wider variety of simple and affordable insurance products and financial services to their 3.5 million members and clients.

Beneva has over $20 billion in Assets Management and more than 5,000 employees.

These two entities will be merged gradually under the Beneva banner to allow the company to increase its own corporate culture consistent with its desire to promote strong human values.
