Serge Bilodeau

As a senior consultant, Serge Bilodeau advises on business strategies development, tax planning, business succession and large-scale transactions.

Prior to joining BCF, Serge worked as a tax partner for over 30 years with a major international accounting firm. Drawing on this experience, he provides daily consulting services to major Canadian and international corporations and assists Québec families in transferring businesses to new generations. His extensive experience in managing relations with tax authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, makes him a seasoned strategic advisor, enabling him to act as an expert witness in tax-related legal proceedings.

Serge is the author of numerous tax articles published by various organizations, including the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) and the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF). He has also been a frequent speaker on tax issues. Throughout his career, he has been a member of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the CTF Board of Directors and the APFF Board of Directors. Today, Serge sits on boards of directors and is a senior advisor to major Québec business families.
