Fatme Saleh

A strategic legal advisor and seasoned litigator, Fatme Saleh advises and represents businesses across a wide range of industries in labour and employment law, occupational health and safety, and workplace injury matters. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 2009, she combines legal rigour, sound strategic judgment, and a strong understanding of business realities to provide employers with practical solutions tailored to their challenges and objectives.

Her practice encompasses all aspects of the employment relationship, including employee relations, legal and regulatory compliance, fundamental rights, accommodation, and employment termination matters. She also assists businesses with francization initiatives and compliance with the requirements of Québec’s Charter of the French Language. In addition, she has extensive expertise in workplace injury matters, including the medical and administrative management of claims, as well as experience rating and cost allocation issues.

Drawing on extensive litigation experience and a proven ability to navigate complex and sensitive matters, Fatme advises employers following serious or fatal workplace accidents, from the earliest stages of investigations through any resulting administrative, penal, or judicial proceedings. She regularly represents clients before the Administrative Labour Tribunal and the courts, while favouring negotiation and strategic dispute resolution whenever appropriate.

Before entering private practice, Fatme served as litigation counsel for public-sector organizations, including institutions within the healthcare system, and subsequently as a penal prosecutor with the CNESST. This combined public- and private-sector experience, together with her in-depth understanding of administrative and judicial processes, enables her to anticipate challenges, assess risks with discernment, and develop strategies tailored to each organization’s operational realities. Her academic training in North American common law at the Université de Montréal further complements her experience and broadens her legal perspective.
