Julie Cuddihy is Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel at BCF, leading the firm’s compliance, governance, and legal risk management teams. She plays a key role in shaping the internal legal framework, supporting management in strategic decision-making, and ensuring the firm’s practices align with regulatory and ethical requirements.
With more than 25 years of experience, Julie has held several senior leadership roles in complex and highly regulated organizations, where she has designed and led integrated legal and human resource functions, implemented compliance frameworks, and overseen large-scale strategic initiatives.
Before joining BCF, Julie was Senior Vice President, Human Capital and Corporate Affairs at Intelcom, as well as Vice President Legal Affairs, Compliance and Corporate Secretary at ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastructure Canada. As such, she was responsible for the legal, governance, compliance, and risk management matters at the executive level, actively contributing to the growth and transformation of these organizations.
Julie began her career in private practice at Fasken, where she spent over 15 years as a senior partner and co-head of the Labour, Employment and Public Law practice group. She also founded and led her own firm specializing in labour law, human resources, mediation, and dispute resolution.
She is known for her pragmatic approach, strategic vision, and ability to support organizational transformation.
