Freelance.ca Acquires Workoppers

Freelance.ca, a platform offering numerous job opportunities to freelancers worldwide, has acquired all shares of Workoppers, thus expanding its network of businesses and professionals.

Since its inception in Germany in 2007 by Quebecer Simon Gravel, Freelance.ca has established itself in Quebec in 2023 and has expanded its operations to nearly a dozen countries.

The platform connects businesses with over 600,000 registered freelancers worldwide and has proven to be a practical solution for companies seeking expertise for various projects, especially in skilled labour shortages. Workhoppers connects businesses with Canadian freelancers for temporary, contract and part-time work. With the largest community of freelancers in Canada, this acquisition will enable Freelance.ca to increase its presence in the Canadian market significantly.
