Maïté Murray is BCF’s chief of knowledge management and learning.
Before joining BCF, Maïté acted as senior legal counsel at a securities brokerage firm from 2014 to 2018, where she handled files pertaining to wealth management and the financial markets. In this role, she made good use of her in-depth knowledge of financial services regulation and capital markets.
Maïté also spent close to nine years practising with a national law firm, initially within its securities group, then as a knowledge management lawyer specialised in corporate and securities law. She started her career at the New York office of that firm, where she advised a clientele consisting primarily of securities brokers, investment advisors, and investment fund managers.
During her time there, Maïté developed an expertise in respect of applications for registration and exemption with securities commissions and self-regulatory bodies, private placements, and more generally, in respect of securities legislation compliance matters in the context of cross-border transactions. Maïté subsequently joined the knowledge management team, where she was responsible for the development and management of legal content notably in the fields of corporate finance and public mergers and acquisitions.
