With 25 years of experience, François Giroux is an advisor in tax law focussing on tax and estate planning, corporate reorganization, the purchase, sale or intergenerational transfer of businesses and taxation of financial products. He is an effective and meticulous business advisor, whose clients also frequently consult him for his specialized expertise in trusts.

Recognized for his judgment and his ability to resolve complex situations, François plans and implements a diverse range of business operations for entrepreneurs active in a variety of economic sectors in Canada and the United States.

François is very generous with his time and has spent several years devoted to passing on his knowledge to the new generation of lawyers. To this end, he taught the Estate Planning course in the Master’s of Law program, with a Tax option, at the HEC for over 10 years until 2017. An astute and approachable educator, he is frequently invited to speak on tax-related topics and the transfer of businesses at various professional seminars and symposiums.
