February 10th, 2011Yugraneft Corp. v. Rexx Management Corp. was recognized by Lexpert as one of the 10 suits of the. This appeal before the Supreme Court of Canada dealt with the time limit for prescription applicable to the execution of a foreign arbitration award in Alberta. In its judgment, the Supreme Court refused to apply a single time limit across Canada, stating that this is a procedural question left to the determination of each province or territory.
